Reminiscent of a fragment of amber resin picked up by Serge Lutens during a walk through the souks of Marrakech, which had lain forgotten for many years in a thuja box, this perfume marks a return to the emphasis on the identity and authenticity of unique ingredients.
"This scent is not oriental, but Arabian and Lutensian. In that case, don't expect it to suit. The starting point was a fragrant wax found in a bazaar and long forgotten in a wooden box. Amber became sultanic only after I reworked the composition using cistus, a herb that sticks to your fingers like resin, and then added an overtone that no one had ever dreamed of: vanilla."
Serge Lutens
A line of perfumes created by Serge Lutens in his own image. Minimalistic, straight, angular and uncompromising, each of these bottles with a refined style reflects the demanding nature and character of its creator. A discretion that highlights the richness and luxury of a perfume whose aromas and colors are as numerous and subtle as precious stones and our personalities.
In his iconic olfactory creations, perfumer Serge Lutens has been creating strong spirits with Proustian accents for over 20 years. From Féminité du bois to Ambre sultan and La fille de Berlin, each fragrance tells its own unique story and has its own unique signature.
